Vivo’s iQOO lineup consists of some of the most affordable flagship devices of 2020 and the latest addition to the series might just be the best flagship killer of the year. The iQOO Neo 3 has a 144Hz display, Snapdragon 865, UFS 3.1, and super-fast charging, all for just $380.
Let’s look at the details.
The handset has a 6.57″ FHD+ LCD panel with razor-thin bezels and a punch-hole front camera on the top right corner. The display has a 144Hz refresh rate (the highest available in conventional smartphones), HDR10 support, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side on top of the power button.
The back has a triple camera setup in a rectangular module and the iQOO Neo branding at the bottom.
The phone’s internals are powered by the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC which is coupled with 256GB UFS 3.1 and several different RAM options including 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB. The processor on it is a 2.84GHz octa-core unit.
On the software side, the phone boots Vivo’s custom iQOO UI on top of Android 10 with loads of customizations.
The camera lenses at the back include a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens for close up shots. The camera is equipped with night mode photography, slow-motion videos, and OIS.
The front camera is a 16MP lens with its own set of features including AI beauty mode, smart face recognition, short videos, and more.
There is a massive 4,500 mAh battery that probably won’t be enough to power the 144Hz display for a full day. The battery is equipped with 44W fast charging, which should be able to charge the device from 0 to 100$% within an hour.
The Vivo iQOO Neo 3 will be available in Black and Blue color options and will start at $380 for the base memory configuration (6GB/128GB) but will go up to $466 for the 12GB variant.
