Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has warned that it will suspend the license of pilots found smoking during flights. Director Flights Standards PCAA, Captain Syed Rafatullah, issued the directive on Thursday.
Captains and first officers will be suspended immediately if they found smoking in the cockpit.

The decision came after the authority received several complaints against pilots smoking while operating, which is solely against the flight safety protocols.
The statement said that disciplinary action will be taken against pilots in violation of the order. The aviation authority has asked cabin crew and ground staff to lodge complaints against pilots smoking while operating flights.
