Honda to Finally Introduce the New City & Civic in Pakistan Soon

Honda Atlas Cars is one of the Pakistani automotive industry’s major players. The company has been around for almost 3 decades now and has sold a fair number of reliable and likable vehicles in the market, having cemented their place in the minds of the Pakistani buyers as one of the most desirable automakers.

However, as of late, Honda has been observed having its edge ever so slightly reduced, especially among the mid-tier market with a massive slump in the sales, a stagnant product lineup and a multitude of price hikes within a year’s time. Plus, with the increasing competition due to the arrival of the likes of Hyundai, Kia and a few others, Honda’s goodwill seems to be in severe jeopardy.

However, that might not be for long, as it has been reported by Pakwheels.com that the Pakistani market shall be getting the new City and Civic by 2021. As per the report, Honda Atlas will introduce the latest generation Civic in Pakistan next year, whereas the City shall also be offered in the 6th generation form in 2021.

As per the reports, Honda Atlas had brought in a 6th gen city from Thailand in a Complete Built-up Unit (CBU) form for doing test runs on the Pakistani Roads. The said car featured an L15Z engine which is a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that is found in the current generation City in the Pakistani market as well.

The details regarding the latest gen civic however are scarce, as the rest of the world is also yet to see its launch. However, the reports do suggest that Honda is very likely to bring in the next-gen Civic to Pakistan shortly after its global launch.

Such has been the case with the Civic ever since it’s been introduced, where the Pakistani market does get the latest generation Honda Civic, shortly after its launch elsewhere, albeit in fewer flavors. However, it has been ages since the City has seen a refresh in its features and styling. With that said, the more anticipated launch in the next year shall be that of a Honda City rather than a Civic.
