Chicken and egg prices in the open market have plunged to a record 4 year low.
According to details, the price of 1 kilogram chicken has gone down to Rs.97 while the price for 1 dozen eggs has dropped to Rs. 116 in most parts of the country.

Traders have revealed that the record drop in process of chicken and eggs is a result of the widespread stocked meat of sacrificed animals on the occasion of Eid ul Azha.
Chicken and egg prices will increase again once the stocked meat of sacrificial animals is consumed.

They added that chicken and egg prices will also rise during Muharram – which is about to start – as there is mass distribution of free food in the month.
