Usain Bolt Tests COVID-19 Positive

World record holder Jamaican athlete, Usain Bolt, has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-isolating at home. Bolt tested positive following his 34th birthday party without any social distancing or masks in Jamaica.

According to the reports, England star, Raheem Sterling, and Chris Gayle were also at the party, however, there are no reports of them getting infected.

The 8-times Olympics gold medalist celebrated his birthday on 21st August.

The legendary athlete said that he is not suffering from any symptoms, however, he is staying in for a few days as a responsible citizen.

Good morning everybody, just waking up. Like everybody, I’ve checked social media, social media’s saying I’m confirmed [as having coronavirus]. I did a test on Saturday because I have work [abroad]. I’m trying to be responsible so I’m going to stay in for me and my friends. Also, I have no symptoms. I’m going to quarantine myself and wait to see what the protocol is. Until then, I’m quarantined by myself and just taking it easy. Be safe out there.

Bolt, who holds the record for 100m and 200m sprint, joins a long list of renowned stars and celebrities to have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
