Punjab Govt. to Establish Baba Fareed University

Chief Minister Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar, has announced to establish Baba Fareed University in Pakpattan district.

CM Punjab made this announcement during an official visit to Pakpattan to review the progress of development projects in the district, adding that the university will be built on a priority basis.

He also ordered concerned authorities to identify land for Baba Fareed Park in Pakpattan city.

Moreover, CM Punjab announced to immediately restore the Rs. 460 million funding for the local government of Pakpattan district, directing local government representatives to utilize the funds for improving the lives of the people of the district.

He ordered to step up the development work of a gymnasium and grain market in Pakpattan city to ensure both projects are completed within the specified timeframe.

CM Punjab said that development work to restore the water supply scheme in Malka Hanis will begin soon.

While announcing the upgradation of DHQ Hospital Pakpattan, CM Punjab said that an emergency block, gynae ward, and trauma center will be set up in the hospital.
