Here’s Our First Look at Google Pixel 5 [Leak]

Google’s upcoming phone, the Pixel 5, is due for launch later this year and has been appearing in leaks for months now. Most earlier reports have talked about the phone’s specifications, but we now have a set of live images courtesy of tipster Jose Antonio.

One of the photos shows the back of the device covered in stickers while the other shows the “About Phone” section for the handset. The phone is called “Pixel 5s” on this screen, which hints towards a sudden change in the naming scheme. The leaskter also calls the phone the Pixel 5S in his tweet. This could mean that there will be an additional variant in the Pixel 5 lineup other than the usual Pixel 5, 5a, and 5 XL, or it could just be a renamed Pixel 5a.

Design-wise, the phone looks a lot like the Pixel 4a with a cornered punch-hole cutout, a square-shaped primary camera, and a fingerprint sensor right underneath it. It appears to have a plastic build and a unibody chassis since there are no antenna lines.

Earlier leaks have revealed that the Pixel 5 is going to be a mid-ranger powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC, a 90Hz display, up to 8GB RAM, and “significantly more battery than the Pixel 4” (2800 mAh).
