During the meeting, REAP representatives were of the view that Pakistan is a major grower and producer of Basmati Rice and India’s claim for exclusivity is unjustified.
The adviser categorically stated that Pakistan will vehemently oppose India’s application in the European Union (EU) and restrain India from obtaining an exclusive GI tag of Basmati Rice. He further supported the concerns of REAP and relevant stakeholders and ensured that their claim for Basmati rice as GI will be protected.
India submitted an application in the European Union claiming sole ownership of Basmati Rice, falsely misrepresenting its exclusivity.
Very Good keep eyes on thief.
Razzak sahib we can understand that you are from Karachi and Imran Khan hates Punjabi businessmen. But please we are Pakistanis too and you should listen to Punjabi businessmen as well. So many businessmen are complaining that they cannot access you at all but if they say they are from Karachi or Pushtoon then your team gives instant access. Pakistan is not made for Pushtoons and Urdu speakers only. You should remember that too.
