Like most smartphone makers, the South Korean company LG is also attempting to make its mark in the wearables industry.

Along with its LG Q52 smartphone, the company also launched its latest true wireless earphones, dubbed the LG TONE Free with model number HBS-TFN7.

Design and Construction

According to LG, the earbuds have been designed to maximize comfort, which is why they are equipped with adjustable ear gels featuring patented twist-fit Vortex Ribs design that provide a tighter in-ear seal to minimize outside noise seepage.

They come in the same circular UVnano charging case we saw with the TONE Free FN6 model. The case uses ultraviolet light for sterilization purposes and eliminates 99.9 percent of E. coli and S. aureus bacteria.

A new addition is the LED lighting on top of the case for indicating the charging level and UVnano status.

Other Features

One of the key features of these new earbuds is the Active noise-canceling tech that tunes out unnecessary sounds to improve the sound output. However, it keeps some of the ambient noise to prevent any accidents.

The earbuds have been tuned by British company Meridian Audio and come with four customizable presets for better output. There are:

  • Natural for clean and balanced sound
  • Immersive for a more three-dimensional performance
  • Bass Boost for extra power and depth
  • Treble Boost for better clarity of vocals.

Battery and Pricing

The LG TONE Free HBS-TFN7 is powered by a 390mAh battery topped with fast charging. The earbuds offer 21 hours of playback with the charging case.

They are currently available for $190.
