Ibex Pakistan, a leading global customer experience company, has inaugurated a brand new facility in Lahore, its third in the city, in response to its expanding BPO business in the country.
Mr. Syed Amin Ul Haque, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication attended the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest. He expressed great appreciation for Ibex in its vital role in helping boost the economy and promoting the BPO industry across Pakistan.
“The way Ibex is helping strengthen and promote the Pakistani BPO industry on a global scale is worthy of high praise and appreciation,” said Mr. Amin Ul Haque. “As we aim for an IT-powered knowledge economy, the focus of my ministry is on digital inclusion of the masses across the length and breadth of the country. With 5G being on the horizon, we envision an improved IT-based employment and business environment in the country,” he added.
“We’re pleased and excited to have set up this brand new facility in Lahore,” said Mr. Nadeem Elahi. “This major development is a part of new opportunities for Ibex Pakistan and a positive sign for the BPO industry in the country. Business process outsourcing is rapidly expanding into new global locations, and in order to compete with the changing industry needs and stay competitive, Pakistan needs to evolve its workforce accordingly.”
Ibex was deemed an essential service during the COVID-19 lockdown and did its part in helping employees keep their job and create a safe environment when the economy was going downhill. The company recently announced hundreds of openings in different domains corresponding to its nationwide expansion.
