Punjab Govt Approves Plan For 5 New Cement Plants

The Punjab government has issued tentative orders for setting up five new cement plants in the province. Chief Minister, Sardar Usman Buzdar, presided over a special meeting of the provincial cabinet, where the decision was made.

According to the provincial government, the new cement plants will be set up in Dera Ghazi Khan, Mianwali, Khushab, and Jhelum. An investment of Rs. 200 billion has been allocated for the new project.

The special meeting of the provincial cabinet also approved the repudiation of additional charges on the late registration of motor vehicles. This will allow people who could not register between April and October this year due to the country-wide lockdown to register their vehicles accordingly.

The cabinet also announced its decision to officially declare Wildlife Parks at Vehari, Bahawalnagar, Loui Bhair, Rawalpindi, and Bansara Gali, as Zoological Gardens.

Speaking at a presser in Lahore, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Information, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, informed that the provincial government recently decided on a policy to recruit instructors and teachers for schools in remote areas of Punjab. Detailed reports on newly approved projects are yet to be disclosed.
