NUMS Finally Decides on MBBS and BDS Exams Schedule

The National University of Medical Sciences’ (NUMS), Rawalpindi, has postponed all its remaining MBBS and BDS examinations for the year 2020. The announcement was made in a press statement on Wednesday.

The statement read: “Because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, all the BDS and MBBS exams have been delayed for all the constituent and affiliated colleges”.

The university is yet to issue its new examination date sheet.

NUMS had conducted the entrance test for its MBBS/BDS 2020 session at its thirteen medical and five dental (constituent and affiliated) colleges across the country and Azad Jammu Kashmir on 11 October. This was the first time that the institute had held its entrance test without the involvement of external testing services.

The results were announced on 25 October, and the successful candidates were also required to pass the National Medical and Dental Colleges Admissions Test (NMDCAT) to be eligible for admission to NUMS.

Meanwhile, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) has issued a revised date sheet for its MBBS and BDS examinations. According to the revised schedule, the annual examinations will be held from 12 January to 11 February 2021.
