PM Imran ‘Gifts’ Fire Tenders and Bowsers to Karachi

The Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Ali Zaidi, announced on Sunday that Prime Minister Imran Khan has gifted fire tenders and water bowsers to the city of Karachi to improve its fire department.

The minister said that the city will receive 50 state-of-the-art fire tenders with the capacity to hold 7,000 liters of water and foam, in addition to two water bowsers that have been dispatched on a ship from China to Karachi.

He also tweeted that he is grateful to PM Khan for the gift.

Although the port city has a population of over 20 million, it only has 14 functional and 30 dysfunctional fire tenders, and the new fire tenders will bolster its fire departments’ firefighting capabilities.

The fire tenders and water bowsers are expected to reach Karachi by the end of January 2021.
