As individuals around the world scrambled with the Coronavirus pandemic induced financial brunt, many YouTubers were able to generate a handsome income, even though the overall earnings from YouTube in 2020 were $200 million less than in 2019.
Despite all this, the 9-year-old Ryan Kaji, from Texas, USA, was able to earn $3.5 million more than what he earned last year, with total revenue of $29.5 million in 2020 from his channel Ryan’s World. He has been ranked as the highest-paid YouTube star of 2020.
Following close behind him is Mr. Beast on YouTube with about $24 million in total earnings. Rounding up the top 3 and hot at the heels of Mr. Beast is the sports and comedy group Dude Perfect, making $23 million this year.
The veteran YouTubers Rhett and Link and Markiplier sat at the fourth and fifth place, making $20 million and $19.5 million, respectively.
Other Youtubers that made it to the list are Preston Arsement with $19 million, 6-year-old Anastasia Radzinskaya (who goes by ‘Nastya’ on YouTube) with $18.5 million, and Blippi (aka Stevin John) with $17 million.
The top 10 was rounded off by the famous YouTuber David Dobrik and beauty guru Jeffree Star.
