Despite mocking Apple for not including a charger with the iPhone 12, Xiaomi will now be doing the same with its upcoming Mi 11 flagship. This move was officially confirmed by the company’s CEO Lei Jun on Weibo.
Xiaomi cites the same reasons as Apple for not including a charger. According to the executive, people already have chargers and it creates an environmental burden to keep creating new ones. Therefore, the company is canceling the charger for the Mi 11. It is unclear whether this will affect other Xiaomi devices as well.

Samsung was also one of the companies to mock Apple for removing the iPhone 12 charger. The company reminded its customers with an ad that chargers will be included with your Galaxy phones but that ad has now been deleted and there are rumors that there will be no charging brick with the Galaxy S21.
As for Xiaomi, the company tweeted a short video saying that they did not leave anything out of the box. The video showed a short clip of the Mi 10T Pro’s box with a charger inside. The tweet has not been deleted but it goes to show that marketing teams should be timely informed of future product decisions.
