The life-saving service Rescue 1122 has been receiving unnecessary calls from the people of Faisalabad. Throughout the year, the locals had harassed on-duty personnel for the sake of entertainment, including joy rides.
The rescue service had reportedly received 1.6 million calls in 2020, of which 1.5 million had not been health-related.

Rescue 1122 officials expressed their concerns about the number of bogus requests that they had received during the year. Callers had made attempts to have non-serious conversations, making it difficult for the operators to filter out the serious issues.
The medical representatives serving the rescue mission argued that the unnecessary calls had put the time and lives of people in real need of the services at risk.
