Punjab Govt to Investigate the PPSC Paper Leak Scandal

The Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar, has set up an inquiry committee to investigate the Paper Leak Scandal in the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).

The committee supervised by the CM’s Inspection Team (CMIT) Chairperson, Ali Murtaza, will submit its report within five days. The CM said that PPSC is a national organization and nobody can play with its reputation.

“The CMIT team will expose the elements who are involved in the paper leak scandal,” he added.

On Saturday, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) arrested a gang of four suspects for purportedly leaking the PPSC examination paper.

The ACE investigation team revealed that they caught the suspects a couple of hours before the paper for the 58 posts of Tehsildar, Consolidation/Hill Torrent Officer, Reader to Member Board of Revenue (BS-16) which was scheduled to be conducted across Punjab on Saturday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, the CM apprised about his health stating that he is feeling much better during quarantine and stressed that he is concerned about the people rather than his own health.

“I am performing official engagements from home on a regular basis and no government matter has been put on hold due to quarantine”, he added.
