Realme President Reveals Upcoming Flagship Phone’s Design

Last week, Realme confirmed that a smartphone named Koi powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 888 SoC was in the works. Some experts believe that the first Realme Koi series phone could be called the Realme V15, although the company has not confirmed the speculation.

However, earlier today, Realme’s president Xu Qi revealed on Weibo that they will be announcing the Realme V15 smartphone at 2 PM (local time) on 7th January. The teaser posters shared show a smartphone with a design inspired by the famous Koi ornamental fish that are found in Japan. The rectangle-shaped camera bump houses a 64 MP camera system which also points to the fact that V15 is the Koi handset the company has been teasing for a while now.

In the post, Qi did not reveal any information regarding the handset’s specifications but the rear appearance of the Realme V15 resembles the leaked shots of Realme Koi that appeared last month. According to that leak, the smartphone weighs 176 grams and is powered by the Dimensity 800U chipset. It will most probably arrive with 50W rapid charging technology.

The Realme V15 handset is currently available for reservations through multiple retailers in China.

In other news, two new Realme handsets recently made an appearance on Geekbench with model numbers RMX3092 and RMX3093. According to the listing, both models have the Dimensity 720 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 11 OS.
