ACE Arrests PPSC Regional Head in Paper Leak Scandal

Punjab’s Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has arrested the Regional Head of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) Bahawalpur, Furqan Ahmed, for his alleged role in the paper leak scandal.

ACE officials said, “Furqan Ahmed was part of a gang that was involved in leaking the PPSC paper,” and added that five more suspects have been arrested so far.

They further stated that the department is investigating the arrested suspects.

The information uncovered until now is that one of the suspects used to steal the examination question papers and transfer the files to a USB drive while another suspect would sell the stolen papers. The arrested suspects had confessed to stealing 12 PPSC papers, and this discovery has rendered the recruitments to the posts of inspectors and Assistant Director (AD) dubious.
