The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) had a turnover of around Rs. 100 billion in 2020 as compared to Rs. 8.5 billion in 2019.
USC Managing Director, Umer Lodhi, said that USC has become a debt-free and self-sufficient corporation and it will be restructured in a progressive manner with a customer-centric approach.

According to Lodhi, it is expected that by the fiscal year 2021 USC turnover will reach Rs. 150 billion.
Once a loss-making entity, USC contributed Rs. 8.564 billion in national exchequer during the fiscal year 2019-20 – one of the leading contributors.
USC ensured food security by serving 45.77 million households during the year through its retail network and provided relief to people through Prime Minister’s Relief Package since January 2020.

Similarly, USC was the pioneer of introducing poly/shopping bags in Pakistan by using Oxo-biodegradable Additives.
Currently, the corporation is planning to introduce a central IT system for all its offices, warehouses, and retail outlets to maintain accurate data logs of inventories.
