PUBG Mobile Update 1.2 Launched With Special Powers And Rewards [Video]

PUBG Mobile has released another major update for the game which is based on the Runic Power theme. The Erangel map will feature runes from another world that will “bestow players with a special power.”

The Runic Power update will be exclusive to the Erangel map and will allow players to collect Runic fragments to gain power. There will be three different types of runes including the Flame Rune, Wind Rune, and Arctic Rune, each of which will give different powers to players.

Flame Rune will summon a wheel of flame that will roll forward and deal damage to enemy players and also add a burning effect to your ammo for increased damage. Wind Rune will increase reload and movement speed and will allow you to summon a wind-based shield to block damage.

Finally, the Arctic Rune will let you create an ice wall that can lift players or vehicles and also add a freezing effect to your ammo that delays healing on enemy players.

Other than that, PUBG Corp has also added a new assault rifle to the game and has confirmed the launch date for Season 17. As always, the new season will bring plenty of new rewards to collect including weapons, vehicles, skins, and a variety of other cosmetics. Update 1.2 is 615 MB on Android and is 1.5GB on iOS. Keep in mind that players on different versions of the game cannot team up with each other, so make sure to update your game as soon as possible. Season 17 is beginning on January 17 and more details will be revealed as the date draws near.
