Gilgit district has become free of Coronavirus, Deputy Commissioner Gilgit, Naveed Ahmed, has confirmed.
Taking to Twitter, DC Gilgit shared the daily Coronavirus situation report issued by the Gilgit Baltistan’s Provincial Emergency Operation Centre.

According to the daily Coronavirus situation report, Gilgit district has zero active cases of the viral disease.
Responding to the development, Home Secretary Gilgit Baltistan, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, praised Allah and lauded frontline healthcare workers for their relentless efforts in the fight against Coronavirus.
The Home Secretary also urged people to exercise precaution and continue adhering to Coronavirus SOPs.

Besides Gilgit, Diamer, Ghizer, Hunza, and Nagar have also become free from COVID-19 as all these districts have zero active cases of the viral infection.
