Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has partnered with World Bank to provide world-class facilities in all public schools and colleges across the province to improve the standard of education.
According to details, the project will incur a cost of Rs. 18.9 billion and will be launched initially in Peshawar, Nowshehra, Haripur, and Swabi districts.

The World Bank has committed $80 million for the project while $38 million will be contributed by the provincial government.
Under the project, all schools and colleges will be transferred to solar power in order to ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity.
Around 200 primary schools and 80 middle schools will be designated as middle schools and high schools respectively.

The project will be launched formally in the coming months and girls’ schools and colleges in the province will be ameliorated on a priority basis.
