Years of poor policies by the government of Sindh and the quota system have compromised the futures of the local students.
Today is the last day to apply for admissions to private medical colleges in the province but 631 out of 740 seats of private medical and dental colleges are reportedly still vacant because a majority of Sindhi students had failed to obtain the required 60 percent marks in the MDCAT 2020 result.

Meanwhile, the President of the Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association Sindh, Dr. Razi, said that he has informed Prime Minister Imran Khan about the admission situation.
Dr. Razi said that only 109 applications for admissions have been received by 12 medical and dental colleges across the province while the remaining seats are still vacant.

He has demanded a three-week extension for the admission deadlines and for the removal of the unconstitutional clause of that MDCAT that mandates a minimum of 60 percent marks for the applicants. He has also urged the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) to reduce the requirement to 40 percent for Sindhi students.
