Samsung O, Free and Quick Share are Coming to Windows 10

Samsung and Microsoft have been working together for ages. A plethora of Microsoft services can be seen on Samsung devices and they also get exclusive support for Microsoft’s cloud gaming service. In a more recent development of this partnership, Windows 10 is getting support for a handful of Samsung apps including Samsung Free and Quick Share.

Quick Share is Samsung’s version of Apple Airdrop. It allows seamless sharing of media and documents between Samsung devices. However, now that it is becoming a part of Windows 10, you will be able to share media between your computer and Samsung Galaxy devices as well. All Samsung devices with One UI 2.0 or above can use this feature. Once connected, you can use WiFi, Bluetooth, or Samsung’s SmartThings (only compatible devices) to share content back and forth.

Other than Quick Share, Windows 10 users will also get Samsung Free, which was previously known as Samsung Daily. It is a one-stop-shop for News, TV and, Play. The TV section will show content available on Samsung TV Plus, which is a video rental service launched in 2016. It is available on most Galaxy devices.

Lastly, an app called Samsung O is also coming to Windows. There is not much known about this app, but some reports have said that it is going to be some kind of clone app.

The Microsoft Store is going to roll out these apps in a few days and that is when we will find out more about Samsung O.
