A student of the University of Management and Technology (UMT) was found dead in a hostel in Lahore. As per investigation reports, the deceased hailed from Bahawalnagar and was enrolled in UMT’s computer science program.
The family of the deceased arrived in Lahore a few hours after being notified of the incident. As per reports, they’ve refused further investigation and a postmortem for the matter.

On Tuesday morning, the student’s roommate found him lying unconscious on the washroom floor, according to the police. The student had already passed away when his pulse was checked.
“The reason for death is unclear as there are no torture marks or injuries on his body,” stated the investigation officer on the scene, adding that nothing definitive can be said regarding the case due to limited information.
The police were immediately called and the body was moved to a hospital for a post-mortem examination, which was later called off by the family of the deceased.
