HEC Approves New Ph.D. Program for Sindh Madressatul Islam University

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has authorized the Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) to initiate a Ph.D. program in Environmental Science and related studies.

The Vice-Chancellor of the SMIU, Prof. Dr. Mujeebuddin Sahrai Memon congratulated the faculty on the achievement. He also commended the Faculty of Environmental Science, in particular, for its tireless efforts in securing the HECs approval.

He stated that the HEC’s decision to begin another Ph.D. program, including the undergraduate and graduate programs in Environmental Studies, shows the SMIU’s commitment and progression to quality education.


Punjab’s Education Boards Delay Announcement of Exam Dates Again

The Ph.D. program is expected to start during the ongoing spring session. A timetable is currently being prepared for it and will be circulated in the next few weeks.

It is worth mentioning that the SMIU is already offering three Ph.D. programs in Media & Communication Studies, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence & Mathematical Sciences.
