Lahore Police have introduced ‘Ababeel Squad’ to curb crimes and improve the law and order situation in the congested areas of the provincial capital.
According to details, the Ababeel Squad consists of 20 bikes and 40 officers that will function under the supervision of SP Mujahid Squad from Qurban Lines.

CCPO Lahore, AIG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, inaugurated the new unit at District Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh.
While addressing the launch ceremony, the CCPO said the Ababeel Squad will be tasked with patrolling and cordoning off the crime scenes in packed areas to prevent criminals from fleeing.
He added that Ababeel Squad through its patrolling will alleviate the sense of insecurity among the residents of Lahore and will prove as an effective deterrence against crimes.
DIG Investigation, DIG Operations, SSP CIA, SP Security, SP Mobile Squad/ARF, SP Headquarters, and all divisional SSPs also attended the launch ceremony of the Ababeel Squad.
