Shaheen Afridi Responds to Shahid Afridi’s Confirmatory Tweet on Engagement

Pakistan’s young pace sensation, Shaheen Shah Afridi, is soon to be engaged to Shahid Afridi’s daughter. The two families confirmed the news and revealed that the engagement is going to take place soon. The marriage ceremony will be held in a few years when his daughter completes her studies.

Shaheen Afridi responded to his father-in-law to be and thanked him for his prayers.

According to Shaheen’s family, the proposal had been in discussion for the past couple of years, and now the two families feel comfortable announcing the news to the public. They revealed that the engagement ceremony would be held soon, while the marriage ceremony would be held in around two years.

The 20-year old fast bowler is one of the leading pace bowlers in the world and is currently the spearhead of the national team fast bowling unit. Shaheen and Shahid both shared an iconic moment on the pitch in PSL 3. Shaheen Afridi rattled Shahid Afridi’s stumps in the match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings, but Shaheen refused to celebrate out of respect for the veteran all-rounder.

Shahid Afridi, now 44-years old, is still going strong on the cricket field. He was representing Multan Sultans in PSL 6 before the tournament was postponed. The two might face each other on the cricket pitch once again when PSL 6 resumes.
