Hyundai Elantra is one of the most hotly anticipated cars that are yet to be launched in the Pakistani market. The compact sedan segment has been dominated by Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, and the car buyers are longing for a third option in the segment and thus the excitement around Hyundai Elantra.

Hyundai Nishat has finally announced the launch date for the Hyundai Elantra, which is set to take place on March 21, 2021, just 5 days from now.

It hasn’t yet been specified yet whether or not the launch will be a physical event or a social media live stream, but Hyundai has teased that, “this is no ordinary launch”, hinting at a unique car launch event.

Furthermore, it is being reported via various media and infotainment outlets that the Elantra will be offered as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) vehicle that is locally assembled in Pakistan.

It will feature a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine that would make around 150 horsepower, 187 newton-meters of torque, and would be offered with a 6-speed CVT automatic gearbox.

There are not enough details about other features and price of the vehicle as of yet, however, given that the vehicle will be competing against the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla, it is likely to be priced similarly, which is between Rs. 3.5 million and Rs. 4 million.

Needless to say, however, that Elantra being the newer alternative is likely to receive a lot of love and positive attention from the public.
