In January this year, images of a Xiaomi foldable phone on a subway in China leaked online. Now, more photos of the company’s upcoming foldable’s prototypes have surfaced online.
The images show that the handset has ‘Mix’ written on it, which means the rumors that the handset will be a part of the Mi Mix lineup were true.
Moreover, the handset will come with an internal folding form factor like the Samsung Galaxy Fold series and the Huawei Mate X2. The images only reveal the form factor of the upcoming foldable, the prototype does not have a display attached to it.
Apart from this, the images reveal that the handset will sport a triple sensor camera system. However, in the images, instead of imaging sensors, there is only a placeholder showing where the sensors will go. The cameras will be aligned horizontally.
Xiaomi launched the last Mix series handset two years ago. The series is usually reserved by the company for phones with experimental and unique designs.
However, since the images only show an unfinished prototype, there is a high chance that this is not how the final product might look. It can be a discarded prototype that someone got their hands on.
