The incident has been revealed in the report submitted by the two-member fact-finding committee to the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ehsan Mani.

According to the report, a foreign player was in the hotel’s swimming pool despite being positive for COVID-19 the previous day. Upon finding this out, the management asked him to move back to his room in the isolation facility immediately. The player refused to oblige, lost his temper, and misbehaved with the management team instead.

Sources have also revealed that the authorities failed to take strict action and had a relaxed attitude regarding the COVID-19 situation within the bio-secure bubble. The report also suggested that one PSL franchise blackmailed the PCB to allow their players to take part in the event, despite clear violations of protocols.

PSL 6 was postponed due to an outbreak of COVID-19 within the bio-secure bubble. At least nine players and officials tested positive for the virus before the authorities decided to postpone the event. PCB has decided not to make the fact-finding report public.
