One of his breaches was providing contacts of three different players participating in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) to a bookie named, Deepak Agarwal. Deepak Agarwal, a notorious bookie, was also involved in Bangladesh all-rounder, Shakib-Al-Hasan’s two-year ban from cricket in 2019.

According to sources, Heath Streak was also asked by Agarwal to infiltrate the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and provide crucial information. He asked Streak to identify the players or the officials that could be easily persuaded to indulge in corrupt activities. However, it is still unclear whether Streak was successful in his advances or not, as he has not been involved with the PSL in any capacity since its inception.

Sources further revealed that ICC had approached the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and asked for their permission to investigate the matter as PSL does not come under ICC’s jurisdiction. There were no advancements in this regard though as no identity had been revealed by either Streak or Agarwal.

Streak, former coach of Zimbabwe and bowling coach of Bangladesh, made his international debut in 1993. He was one of the main players in a strong Zimbabwe side and had a decent international career. He took 216 Test wickets and 239 ODI wickets. He also scored over 1,500 Test runs and over 2,000 ODI runs in a career spanning almost 14 years.
