Xiaomi’s offshoot Redmi is gearing up to launch its first gaming phone by the end of this month. A Redmi smartphone under the model number M2104K10C was recently approved by the 3C authority of China. It is believed that this is the same gaming phone.

In addition to this, the Chinese publication Sina Finance recently shared a few key specifications regarding the upcoming gaming phone. Reportedly, it will be built around Samsung’s AMOLED E4 display with a centrally positioned punch-hole. The display will support up to 144Hz refresh rate for supporting media and applications.

In addition to this, the smartphone is expected to come with gaming shoulder buttons similar to the Black Shark series phones for an enhanced gaming experience. It will be powered by the Dimensity 1200 chipset and will most likely come with support for Xiaomi’s 67W fast charging. Previous reports have suggested that the device could be sporting a quad-camera system with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary camera. It will cost somewhere around $300.

Initially, the smartphone will be launched in China, however, a global launch will follow soon. According to leaks and rumors, the handset will break covers as a POCO F-series handset. After China, India will be one of the first markets to receive Redmi’s first gaming phone.
