Vacations Extended for All Medical Colleges

The Punjab Health Department has extended the vacations for all the medical institutions until 2 May due to the worsening COVID-19 situation in the province.

According to a notification issued by the provincial Health Department on Sunday, medical schools have been given extended holidays after the coronavirus claimed the lives of a hundred individuals within the last twenty-four hours.

The medical institutions including medical, dental, nursing, and paramedical schools will now remain closed for the following two weeks, and only the staff for official and clerical duties will continue to perform their duties.

Furthermore, all the examinations at the institutes will be conducted as per their schedules.

The government of Balochistan has also announced the closure of all the schools across the province after a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases was registered in the province.

The provincial Minister for Education declared that “All government schools will remain closed till Eid-ul-Fitr”.
