As the name says, the MateBook 16 comes with a 16-inch IPS panel with ultra-thin bezels, giving it an impressive 90% screen to body ratio. This display features 2K resolution, 10-bit colors, a 3:2 aspect ratio, a maximum brightness of 300 nits, and wide viewing angles with a 100% RGB color gamut.

Staying true to Huawei’s tradition, the HD webcam is tucked under one of the function keys on the keyboard, which makes for an awkward angle, but the quality is there.

The whole package weighs 2kg.

Under the hood, the MateBook 16 2021 brings the latest Ryzen 5000 processors including Ryzen 5 5800H and Ryzen 5 5600H CPU options. Both the variants come with up to 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSDs, and AMD Radeon graphics. It boots Windows 10 and has support for multi-screen collaboration with Huawei smartphones.

There is an 84Wh lithium-polymer battery onboard which is able to last up to 3.5 hours on a full charge. It can be charged back up in around an hour with its 135W fast charging.

As for connectivity, you get two USB-C ports, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, an HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack, Bluetooth 5.1, and WiFi 6.
