Federal Education Minister, Shafqat Mahmood, has tested positive for Coronavirus.
The Education Minister broke the news on Twitter, saying that he has mild symptoms of the disease and will get well soon.

A day earlier, Mahmood had presided over a meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference (IPEMC) to review all possible options for holding the annual exams all over the country.
The IPEMC meeting decided to hold matriculation and intermediate exams after 20. Respective boards were also directed to issue the detailed schedule of the exams in due course.

Besides, IPEMC decided to limit summer vacations in educational institutes in the country and authorized the provinces to decide on the number of leaves during the summers.
IPEMC also agreed to ensure timely vaccination of teachers, supervisory staff, and other administrative staff in educational institutes in all federal units.
