ZTE Axon 30 Rumored to Launch on July 22 with Next Gen Selfie Camera

The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra and Pro phones are already official, but we are yet to see the base model. The base Axon 30 is going to be a direct successor to last year’s Axon 20 and is expected to bring the second generation under-display camera.

Chinese display maker Visionnox recently showcased its second-generation under-display camera technology and it is now expected to feature on the ZTE Axon 30. As per the popular tipster Digital Chat Station, the phone may be announced on July 22.

The rumor comes from a video shared by ZTE President Ni Fei who revealed that an all-new smartphone is coming next month.

As mentioned earlier, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra and Pro are already official, but they feature punch hole displays. The standard Axon 30 is expected to carry the legacy of its predecessor, but hopefully with improved camera quality.

Visionnox’s new UD camera technology brings new and improved pixel arrangement for better clarity and less fogging on the embedded selfie camera. This should address the biggest selfie camera issues we saw on the Axon 20.

The Axon 30 is still a month away from launch and we expect to hear more over the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned.
