Misbah said that it was not his decision to let go of Younis, and whatever happened was decided between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Younis himself. He said that the squad needs to focus on their upcoming matches and focus on the resources at hand.

Younis was appointed as a batting coach in November last year on a two-year contract, but just a few months into the job, he left the role. According to details, Younis was unhappy with his role and a few incidents, including a clash with fast bowler Hasan Ali on Pakistan’s recent tour of South Africa, led to his decision to resign.

There have also been rumors that Younis was also unhappy with the involvement of the National High-Performance Center (NHPC) coaches within the national team.

Misbah believes that Pakistan has to move on from the saga and focus on their upcoming tour of England and the West Indies. Misbah said that the team is in good shape, and the preparations for the T20 World Cup later this year are in full swing.

The former captain believes that Pakistan has a settled combination apart from a few positions in the line-up, and they will be looking to find the perfect players for those positions in the upcoming tours. Misbah said that the top four batsmen and the bowling unit are more or less confirmed. The only positions left to be filled are the number five and six spots.
