However, things turned ugly when the healthcare staff at the F-9 MVC told expats that only a few hundred of them will be vaccinated with internationally approved vaccines due to their limited availability.

After this, the overseas Pakistanis started protesting against the administration of the MVC. They not only vandalized the MVC but also kicked out the healthcare staff and occupied the vaccination counters of the MVC. The healthcare staff barely secured the doses of COVID-19 vaccines stored in the MVC.

At the time of the writing, the vaccination process at the F-9 MVC remains suspended, with citizens being told to come back once the situation gets under control.

A team of Islamabad Police’s Quick Response Force (QRF) has also reached the MVC. Islamabad’s administration is negotiating with the protestors to convince them to call off their protest and allow the vaccination process to resume.
