Shafqat Mahmood Launches IBCC E-Portal and Mobile Application

Federal Education Minister, Shafqat Mahmood, has launched an Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) e-portal and mobile application.

IBCC is the body that grants equivalence to foreign qualifications with corresponding Pakistani educational certificates.

While addressing the launch ceremony, the Minister said from the submission of the receipt of challan fee to the submission of educational documents, the e-portal and mobile application have digitalized the entire process of obtaining equivalence certificates.

Students will be able to track the status of their application and receive equivalence certificates at their doorsteps after applying online. Those who cannot use the online facility can still for equivalence certificates by applying manually.

He termed the launch of IBCC e-portal and mobile application a “revolutionary step,” adding that the government will take similar steps in the future to facilitate the students further.

The Minister noted that IBCC e-portal and mobile application have been developed after taking input from all the relevant stakeholders, including the 30 boards in Pakistan and international education boards such as Cambridge.
