HEC to Conduct Law Admission Tests for 5-Year LLB Degrees

Higher Education Commission (HEC) has decided to conduct the Law Admission Test (LAT) for applicants to the five-year LLB Degree Program in the HEC/PBC–recognized public and private sector universities and valid affiliated colleges.

According to the details, those who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or have equivalent/Grade 12 education are eligible to apply for the LAT.

Similarly, students who have appeared in the final examination of the HSSC or its equivalent/Grade 12 education and are awaiting their results can also apply for the test.

Students need to register for the test at http://etc.hec.gov.pk, and they can go to onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk or visit the HEC’s regional offices if have difficulties with their applications.

The last date to apply for the LAT is 25 July 2021, and the test will be conducted on 8 August 2021. Changes in the dates will be communicated on www.hec.gov.pk and http://etc.hec.gov.pk.

The HEC stated that,

Email/SMS will also be sent to registered applicants for the test date, time, and venue. While filling online application forms, candidates are required to provide valid email/mobile number on which they wish to receive official messages.

Candidates are required to bring their original CNICs and a printout of the Roll Number Slip to be allowed entry to the test center on the day of the test.
