The UAE government has allowed its residents from six countries where passenger entry remains suspended, including Pakistan, to return to the country.
According to the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), fully vaccinated travelers from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria, and Uganda who hold valid UAE residency permits can enter the country from 5 August.

However, they will be needed to submit their COVID-19 vaccination certificates upon entering the UAE. They must also ensure that 14 days have passed after receiving the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Besides, the UAE government has also allowed vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers from restricted countries belonging to the following categories to enter the country from 5 August.
- Doctors, nurses and technicians employed in the UAE.
- Universities, colleges, schools and institutes employees in the UAE.
- Students in the UAE.
- Humanitarian cases who hold valid residency permits.
- Federal and local government agencies’ employees in the UAE.

Previously, travelers from restricted countries belonging to the following categories were allowed to enter the UAE.
- Citizens of the UAE and their first-degree relatives.
- Diplomats between the UAE and the restricted countries.
- Official delegations from the restricted countries.
- Participants, exhibitors, and personnel Expo 2020.
- UAE residents with gold or silver residency permits.
- Businessmen and businesswomen.
- Employees belonging to vital functions.
- Crews of cargo and transit flights of foreign companies.
