Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce, Abdul Razak Dawood, announced on Twitter that Pakistan’s rice exports crossed $2 billion.
We are very proud of our rice exporters because inspite of all challenges like Covid-19 , global logistic crisis, increasing freight rates etc they have still managed to cross the 2 billion USD mark in exports.

He wrote on his Twitter account, “We are very proud of our rice exporters because inspite of all challenges like COVID-19, global logistic crisis, increasing freight rates, etc they have still managed to cross the 2 billion USD mark in exports.”

The adviser added, “I congratulate REAP and all its members for this remarkable achievement. Government policies will continue to support exporters, and Rice will remain a very important sector for Pakistan’s exports.”
During the first month of the current financial year FY21-22, July 2021, Pakistan’s exports have grown by 17.3 percent, to $2.35 billion.
