The Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha, Qatar has been ranked the ‘Best Airport in the World’ at the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2021.
The Chief Operating Officer at the airport, Badr Mohamed al-Meer, said, “It is with great pride that we announce that Qatar’s Hamad International Airport has been named the World’s Best Airport at the Skytrax 2021 World Airport Awards. This is not only a truly remarkable achievement for HIA and the State of Qatar but an endorsement from our travelers for our commitment to service excellence”.

Besides, Istanbul Airport was awarded the ‘World’s Most Improved Airport’, Changi Airport in Singapore was recognized for having the ‘World’s Best Airport Staff’, Tokyo’s Haneda Airport was given the title of the ‘World’s Cleanest Airport’, and China’s Guangzhou Baiyun Airport was awarded the ‘World’s Best Airport in the 35 to 45 million passenger category’.
