The Lahore administration has sealed the city’s famous restaurant Butt Karahi for flouting COVID-19 SOPs.
The development occurred late on Sunday when a team of city administration led by Assistant Commissioner City Faizan Ahmed raided the eatery for allowing indoor dining beyond the time limit.
The restaurant was immediately sealed and the manager was arrested on the spot.
This is the second time in less than nine months that the restaurant has been sealed for the same reason.
Earlier on December 11, 2020, the provincial government had sealed the famous restaurant in Lahore’s Lakshmi Chowk food street for letting Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President, Maryam Nawaz, and other leaders have dinner despite a ban on dine-in.
A case was also filed with the Gawalmandi Police Station for violating the coronavirus SOPs.
