SNGPL Revokes Gas Supply Suspension

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited decided to continue the supply of gas to consumers from September 13 to September 15, having circulated a notice previously saying that gas supply to several industries would remain suspended for three days.

In an announcement made on September 12, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) said that it would try to minimize disruptions to the gas supply as much as possible.

This refers to the SNGPL’s prior notice on September 10 that re-gasification from Engro Elengy Terminal Private Limited (LNG terminal-1) would be disrupted from September 13 to September 15 due to re-deployment of the Floating Storage and Re-gasification Unit (FSRU) Exquisite after the completion of its dry-docking period.

The FSRU Exquisite has been on dry-docking since June 29 for repair, cleaning, and inspection.

It is now being re-deployed, which is why the SNGPL said that gas supply to CNG stations, general, non-export, and the cement industry across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and other regions would be suspended or restricted from September 13 to September 15.
