Vaccination Certificate is Now Mandatory to Travel on BRT Peshawar

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has declared Coronavirus vaccination certificates mandatory for traveling in the Peshawar BRT, with the directive coming into effect immediately.

Speaking in this regard, TransPeshawar spokesperson Umair Khan said that no one will be allowed to enter BRT stations without showing the COVID-19 vaccination certificates.

He added that TransPeshawar remains committed to taking steps to assist the government in containing the spread of the Coronavirus, adding that all employees of BRT Peshawar have been vaccinated.

In a separate development, Peshawar’s civil administration sealed a number of private schools and colleges on Monday for violating the government’s orders of their closure due to COVID-19.

The Smart School, Saddar campus, Edwardes College and School, Fahim Model School and College, and Iqra Model School were operating despite official directives of closure.

The provincial capital’s administration has registered FIRs against the senior management of these schools to initiate criminal proceedings against them.
