The Sindh government has decided to resume indoor dining while businesses have been allowed to operate till 10 PM in Karachi.
Sindh’s Home Department met earlier today and announced a series of relaxations and a few restrictions for Karachi that will remain effective from 15 to 30 September.
Here are all the decisions the provincial Home Department took today:
Relaxations
- Essential businesses to operate 24/7
- Non-essential businesses to shut down by 10 PM
- Safe day to be observed on Sunday across Karachi
- Indoor dining with 50% occupancy to be allowed before midnight. Only vaccinated individuals to be allowed to dine in after showing proof of vaccination
- Takeaway and drive-through facilities to remain functional 24/7
- Indoor and outdoor weddings to take place with 200 and 400 vaccinated guests respectively
- Shrines to be reopened with SOPs
- Offices to resume working on normal hours with 100% occupancy
- Indoor gyms to be reopened for vaccinated individuals only
- Public transport and railways to operate at 70% and 50% of total capacity
- Amusement parks and swimming pools to operate at 50% of total capacity
- Only vaccinated citizens to be permitted entry to tourist spots
Restrictions
- Cinemas to remain closed
- Contact sports events to remain suspended
- Meals and snacks to remain banned on flights
