All You Need to Know About the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is going to be a cheaper version of the base Galaxy S21, just like last year’s S20 and S20 FE. The handset is expected to launch sometime next month and we already know its key details thanks to comprehensive leaks over the past few weeks.

Here is all you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE.

Design and Display

The S21 FE is going to look exactly the same as the base Galaxy S21. The only minor difference is that the main camera cutout will be the same color as the rear panel, unlike the original. Its display will be a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will bring an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor underneath the display and IP68 water/dust resistance.

Internals and Storage

The S21 FE has made several rounds at certification websites, revealing that it will either be powered by the Exynos 2100 or the Snapdragon 888. As always, the Snapdragon variant is meant for the US and Korea, while the Exynos model will go to India and Europe. There will be 8GB RAM on board with 128GB or 256GB storage options.

The phone will boot Android 11 out of the box with One UI 3.1 on top.

Cameras

According to leaked promotional images and user manuals, we know that the rear cameras will include a 12MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The punch-hole front camera will also be a 12MP shooter.

Battery and Pricing

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will boast a 4,500 mAh battery with 25W fast charging, which is slightly higher than the base S21. The retail box will not include a charger.

The S21 FE is expected to launch during the first half of October in violet, light green, gray, and white color options. It is likely going to cost $100 less than the vanilla Galaxy S21.
